Job Description
To install, repair, and maintain overhead and underground electrical power lines and auxiliary equipment. The successful candidate must be able to perform safe, proficient, and effective pole-climbing.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of the Electric Lineman Apprenticeship program
- Valid Class A CDL driver’s license including a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate
- Must have the physical ability, endurance, and desire to perform potentially strenuous outdoor work, at all times of the day and night
- Will be expected to respond to emergency callouts
- Ability to climb poles
- Frame, erect, and remove poles
- Must be thoroughly familiar with the Safety Rules and regulations of the Company
Special Requirements
This position is considered safety-sensitive under the Department of Transportation regulations 49 CFR Part 40 and may be subject to pre-employment drug and/or alcohol testing.
